California Bonsai Society (CBS) is a nonprofit organization formed in 1950 and incorporated in 1962 by bonsai artists to ensure the continuation of this special art.

Throughout the year, CBS sponsors demonstrations of aspects of the art of Bonsai by the leading figures in global Bonsai. California Bonsai Society welcomes visitors to our club. Our annual exhibition is held at the Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens in San Marino, California. CBS  meets quarterly on the third Wednesday of the month at 7 pm at Gardenia Valley Japanese Cultural Institute, 1964 West 162nd St. Gardena, CA 90247.

The California Bonsai Society is one of the oldest bonsai clubs in America.
